Candy is the executive director of the Carenet Pregnancy Centers in Amarillo, Texas. She is the author of Rescue: Raising Teens in a Drowning Culture as well as Chosen and Pearls, curriculum for pre-teen and teenage girls.

With a degree in Psychology from West Texas A&M University, she has served as the national co-chair for the Campaign for Life in America. Hundreds of parents find encouragement through her blog,

Candy and her husband Brian make their home in Bushland, Texas, with their teenage son and daughter.  Their adult son is a US Airman currently serving in Montana with their daughter-in-law and three precious grandchildren.
